I got a used Rzr Maxx HD about 2 weeks ago and every so often I get a brief flicker of screen. Have other people had this or have I purchased a phone that screen is on its way out? Uuugh. I notice if reading something with white background such as book on kindle, Google search etc but is probably more noticeable with white background but is also there on home screen and other apps. I did a search and it found nothing so I apologize if this has been answered and I did not find it. Thanks ..Tom...

Maybe it's auto brightness

Are you on stock? Does it do it on all ROMs/kernels?.

I am rooted unlocked running Nexesque a 4.1.2 Rom but I noticed it on stock before I unlocked. It does not do it constantly more from time to time randomly. edit ...this is not the blue flashy thing people are having with roms it is more of a quick split second screen off /on .

Me too, XT926 Razr HD just unlocked and run TWRP 2.5.0.0. Safe to say all 4.2.2 Roms are making a quick Blue screen Flicker. Its all Random. when going back to 4.1.2 the blue Flicker goes away. Is there some thing i need to do going from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 Roms?

Also when installing from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 All files on phone go into a 0 ( zero) Folder.  Why?

Did the wipe/wipe in TWRP Trying  to get one 4.2.2 to work.

Any info would be great??

So this seems to be 4.2.2 related, some ROM's like Xenon seems to have fixed it.  There are also workarounds that seem to work.

Playing around with settings... - in Developer Options -> "Disable HW Overlays" seems to calm the epileptic blue flash fits.  This was posted by dpron.  I've used this to get blue flash to start and stop.  So it does work.

Some have had success by getting the ROM installed.  Then going back into TWRP, doing a nandroid backup....... the restoring that same backup.  This seems to wipe for sure all the stuff that may be causing the issue.

There are some instructions for editing build files that seem to work.  I'm not that good, so I stay away from that stuff.

These tips should get you started.

My situation is not the ROM related blue flicker. It is screen occasionally very quickly flickers almost like on and off. . My question is have other people experienced this with RzrHD/MaxxHD. .It did it while I was on stock when I first got phone and it does it on Nexusque Rom.A 4.1.2. ROM.

Have you started fresh with the Utility?? Seems weird on a new phone but your're best bet is to start fresh then you can troubleshoot from there
