So i got myself a maxx stuck on 84 ,pulled its mobo and inserted one of my og razr mobo's. I wanted to calibrate my batt guage. So i power off n charge. I notice it stays @50% for a while, then nxt thing i know its @100. Power on get about 13 hrs then showes 80% about 5 min later i look again and its 50, few hours later its 40% then within a few min i check it and its powerd off. I plug in and it shows 50% so i turn it back on. When it powers up it shows only 15%. So if it did run and die i only got about 15 hours of light use.
After i see 15% i power down and plug in. Itsshowing 20% and has for last 40 min.

Ihavehad crazy battery readings on my phones before, but could always fully charge run down, power off n fully charge again to fix the readings. With this thing i cant even get it to cycle. I was just wondering if anyone who has converted to maxx hasnoticed anything like this? Or is this battery just foobared?
I got thatlong or more on og razr. Would a fact reset help?

Thanks, and hope this all makes sence lol

I had a droid razr. (og) purchased a droid razr maxx, that was stuck on the ICS.84 leak. I then swapped the mobo's......

clear battstats and try again? since this is a brand new battery, this is a situation where it actually would help.

LET THE BATTERY DIE
try to power on and let it die
Recharge for 4 hours leaving it off
let it get to 100% then run the android app battery calibration
In my Ferocious convictions, and in-dominant belief in my own actions, it would be a great advantage to anyone's interest who lay with mine..... Vanten Kiest

Ok i will again, just crazy that it will b @ 40% then within a min jump to 100% (while off) so i dont know if its full or not. If it shows 100 dosent it stop charging. Should i leave it plugged even after 100% for a bit to make sure?

Thanks for the help guys. This is a new prob for me:huh:

Ok, i think im on my way to 100 %. Im power off, charging to 100. Power on, go clockwork clear batt stats reboot, was @ 30% power off charged to 100. Power on reboot clockwork reboot at 50 %. I am repeating this till at 100% after clearing batt stats. Then i will calibrate.
Hope this works.

I know others have modified to a maxx. Has anybody else had this problem?

Well i thought it was gonna b all good. Woke up to 50‰ and 10 hrs of standbuy. Better batt stats shows nothing eating it up....left plugged for about an hour after i got steady 100% readings... idk. Cleared all stats, used batt calibrator. Ill run down and maybe fact reset and try it all again.
I really believe the og had better life. Maybee its just a bad battery.

I thought we've already established that you don't need to calibrate battery

As far as i know BATTERIES dont calibrate, but the hardware/ software that guages them does.

I have the same problem and I'm also on the leak. My phone was turned off and charging. Said it was at 40% and I decided to turn it on. Once it booted up I was at 78%. Second time this has happened too.

I am actually stock 181. But its agvating as all get out. I got better battery as an og razr.

One question is if powered off and it shoes 100% will it still charge or does it turn off charging? I ask bcause it will show 100% while off and like 60 r when i power up. Can i just leave it off, or will it stop charging if shows 100
