I really hate to say this, as I am frustrated as hell with their tactics, but I still wont leave. If you keep your phone in good condition and sell it when your contract is up, you're essentially paying about an extra 10-15$ a month (in the extra non-subsidized phone price) for the unlimited plan when they implement this. For those of us who use crazy amounts of data, buying unsubsidized still seems to be the best choice :-/ The problem is, this primarily hurts those who are not using ridiculous amounts of data (e.g., 7GB/mo) most, as it's not cost effective to get that small amount of data and still pay for a full-priced phone out of pocket. I can pay what amounts to an extra 10-15$ a month and still come out ok, as I use tethering on business trips as well as for my primary means of accessing the net when at home (I ditched cable internet since I am away from home often)
