How do you know it's for 4.2? ...

What else would it be? 4.1.3? :p

I have seen a few people report getting emails about soak test for 4.2.2 on the Razr HD!

"Thanks for joining the Motorola Feedback Network. We are inviting owners of the Droid RAZR HD and RAZR HD Maxx on Verizon to participate in an early preview of a new software release, and provide feedback. If you are not currently using a Droid RAZR HD or HD Maxx, please excuse and ignore this email. "

I was hoping for 4.1.3 but I guess I'd take 4.2.

We recognize that many of our most astute and engaged owners also root and/or otherwise modify their software. While we are eager to get feedback from these owners, we find that we spend a disproportionate amount of precious soak time helping them through the update process.

In this case we are unable to include rooted phones in this test.

This is going to be a short soak period, which leaves little time to address upgrade issues due to root and still get feedback. We are temporarily unable to re-push software ourselves, and the process of getting others to do it on our behalf is very time-consuming. By the time we complete the process, the soak will likely be over.

Anyone who has been through a soak has probably seen how common it is for an owner to think they have removed root, restored to stock, etc., but failed to cover all signs.

So, if you have tampered with or altered your software, we urge you to sit this one out.

We hope to be able to include you in future tests -- we value your participation.

I hope you know that I didn't mean 4.3. I was trying to be sarcastic.

Ive gotta check my mail too

But to be honest. I don't know how much I care. I'm bored of 4.2.2 already. Figure it as typical. Moto/VZW push the soak for 4.2.2 the same week 4.3 leaks. Lag Lag LAg....

Really all you gotta do is download it and not install it then copy it out of cache. Any of you with unlocked boot loaders, I would wait. Let someone else test it. If I can get it I will install it and see if they messed with the BL somehow because I can just go unlock it again or at least have a healthy fight on my hands.
