Any way to use web top only with a HDMI cable?

Hdmi only sends video and sound, you'd still need USB for data.

You can use an app like nebtop to just send video out to play Netflix out to a TV

Not sure if it's specific to the Moto HD Dock cable or not, but webtop 3.0 beta on 6.14.79 works with just the cable. I do have the HD dock, but if I just use the cable it works as well.

You'll need nebtop if you're running GB. However the ICS leaks show a "what would you like to do with this?" pop up when you plug in HDMI, and one option is 'webtop', so you don't need any mods.
