well sitting here looking back at some other phones and started to wonder why has no one tried replacing the system img in matts utility and flashing a device? If you had a rom installed say like deodexed 16 and did a back up could you not use that system img in the utility and push it to the phone?

You could in fact replace the system IMG if you so desire .... but if you run into some kind of issue where you would need to return to complete stock you would not be able to...unless you make a copy of the utility so you can use it later as-is.......... also once you do a system pull you would have to "convert" it into a ext4 file system to make the .img properly and you have to make sure it is the proper size or it will fail while flashing... then you will need to use the original utility to un-brick .gif)
