Few people reported worked with unlocked bootloader....but no way to be certain.

Those that live on the edge can help us out.

EDIT: link removed. OTA Snatcher is acting up

Its working correctly. OTA's are labeled with the current build not the new build. That's part of its verification process.

Can someone report if this works with unlocked bootloader and if root can be kept with VooDoo?

Word on the moto site is it works on unlocked BL and doesn't loose root. But don't do anything until smart people loom through it first!

hmmm, says failed, but it got all the way to the end before it did, waiting for it to boot in, it did the whole "android is upgrading" thing, so I didn't bootloop. Im thinking most everything patched and some verification failed at the end.

Looks like it worked tho!!

Also,,, kept root, and still unlocked, but as many are reporting, if you have not unlocked yet do NOT install this, they patched the exploit to unlock, and I doubt we are getting any more help on that front!

I will know by tonight if the fixes are good, I get reboots pretty regularly when playing music, so my car ride to work should bring that out pretty quick. My hope is that devs can see what moto did if it does fix it, and apply it to 4.2, because I get them there too. The wifes hd maxx does as well.

I'm hoping the GPS fixes translate to roms.  I'm going back to CM 10.1 after I get this thing updated and backed up again, but, I want to see how stable it is.  Been so long since I've even booted stock.  LOL

This OTA is FULL of all kinds of bootloaders, boot menus, secondary bootloaders...you name it. I'm not flashing it. I'm already unlocked and don't wish to find out. If anyone is feelin' brave. Let us know.

Side note, If and only IF you do not end up relocked, re-rooting is not an issue any longer. All you need to do is

(since OTA's won't flash on CWM or TWRP, you would have flashed stock MOTO to flash this update) and

to restore root access. Cheers

I'm working on it.  I have to restore moto recovery so I can apply this and then flash twrp back when it's done.  Relocking....I find that hilarious.  Not....gonna...happen.  This isn't an S4!  :p  DOH!  (Come on, I'm kidding here...mostly. ;))

VZW had the Droid DNA's BL's relocked. Ask those people how funny it was. They're STILL locked and this was months ago. I'm not saying they will or won't relock, but I'm not gonna assume they wouldn't try.

Yea, but, this is supposedly a different situation and the unlock is supposed to be more permanent.  Good times.

The official Motorola Feedback Forums that I'm not reading or quoting have mentions of people who have successfully downloaded the soak via OTA and were able to successfully install the soak. But I have yet to see anyone comment about relock or other detrimental issues. So still waiting to see.

I'm debating.  I'm in stock recovery right now so I could apply it and let the community know for sure if it would relock anything.  Decisions decisions.
