Verizon is on a roll this week, after updating the Razr HD models, and the Razr M, the Galaxy S4 is following behind them. The Galaxy S4 is receiving its first update to version I545VRUAME7, and this also patches the root and bootloader workaround exploits. We recommend you to put this one off as well, until cleared by a developer.

We do not have a changelog other than this, this is not official!:

  • Patches the root and bootloader workaround exploits
  • New line in settings menu, says "Secure Boot Status", and reads "Type: Samsung"
  • Apps to SD Card ability added

I'll update once more information is published.

Breaks root and loki in a rough way, OTA Rootkeeper doesn't work. I am (or possibly WAS depending on what devs have to say about the lockdown) going to order my S4 friday. Hope it still has MEK on it, fingers crossed.

I should have a signature here...somewhere.

It's not an OTA. It's only available through the Verizon software updater or Kies. It's not pushed directly to the device. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
