I "lost" my phone at a bar the other night. As far as I know it just went dead and someone turned it in to Verizon store that was local. I did get a new phone but would like to keep this one as a back up if it can be fixed.

It will only show a message on start up that looks like the following:

AP SBF Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)
0A.77
eMMC Info: Size 16G
To return to normal mode - first press the power key to power down
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0

Battery Low
Cannot Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

Invalid CG OTV (CG: system): Invalid SP Data
Invalid CG HAB (CG: system, status: 0X004E)
Invalid CG OTV (CG: system)

I checked the little moisture tab and it was good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize if it is a simple fix but I know very little to nothing about phones.

Indeed it can be fixed..... it will be a bit of a process tho..... first and foremost you need to get it charged before anything can be done..... you can either get a Team Black Hat factory cable or adapter to get power to it... or you can try powering off then hold vol down and vol up and power... when the menu comes up use vol down to highlight bp tools use vol up to select it.... plug into a WALL charger, not the computer... after a short period you may see the charging icon on the screen.... if so, leave it alone until fully charged :)..... In the meantime while it is (hopefully) charging... go here ...

And download the utility.... use WinZip or WinRar to extract to your desktop... install the Motorola drivers.... When your phone is FULLY charged power it on (in APFastboot) and run option 1 of the utility....:) .... telekinectically tapped ....

In addition..... it looks like someone got ahold of your phone and tried to flash something and failed horribly..... but as long as you can get power to it or get it charged.... there is a good chance the utility will heal your sick phone...:) .... telekinectically tapped ....

I did plug it in a handful of times and did not get it to charge. I used a cheap USB cord off an outlet and I tried an actual outlet charger with no luck. Is there something that is stopping it from charging?

Are you using a Motorola charger? Or motorola usb cable..... believe it or not it makes a big difference :)

First, cheap USB cables may work but are not reliable. I would recommend using the Moto cable. edit: John ninja'ed me :)

If you battery is very low, it may not be able to get the charge without using a Factory Cable/Adapter see here:

There are some Battery threads with some other suggestions that sometimes work, search the forum a bit.

Did you try the bp tools method john described? That usually works.

I can get the menu where I push both volumes and power. And I also get the lockout screen like I put in the first post. In the volumes/power menu none of the options work. The cord I am using will pull those same screens up without a battery in it if that is any help.
