I have followed all of the steps to uninstall bootstrap, installed safestrap and get to the secondary boot screen; however, when I try and enter recovery the screen stays black and I end up resetting the phone. Any help


I hate to ask.. but you're on the ICS Leak (any version) right? This will only work for that.

Lol...yep I sure am on the ICS leak. For some reason I just can't get it to boot. Its like recovery isn't installed but the script ran successful.

The biggest issue that people run into is not having busybox installed correctly. Can you double check that?

Hah, after spending 4 months working on the Kindle stuff, my wife would have a fit. Hit me up on GTalk tho and I'll get some system files from ya just to see whats up.

Is it OK to upgrade to this safestrap on my phone even if Im still on Gingerbread or is this ONLY for ICS?

Checked busybox it says multiple copies are installed. I have no idea how to fix this?

I had issues as well. Only got into recovery once but couldn't get in again for the life of me. I started over from scratch: wiped data, system, cache, fastboot to 181 from 84, reload 84. Rooted, installed safestrap and that sucker would not enter cwm. I had the option to select menu but the screen would just go black.

Just a heads up I couldn't boot into recovery, or even boot my phone, when it was plugged into my comp. It's a non-data USB cable (I never ever get prompted about USB storage, comp doesn't see anything, etc). Just letting you know. Unplugged it, just booted into recovery. Backing up right meow.

And when I tried to boot my phone it just showed the battery for about 2 seconds, then black screen. Had to hard reboot.

Maybe he got into recovery once, then plugged his phone in and ran into the same issue I had?

Axiom modifier for ICS Leak. I have it running also. Will try and get safestrap to work. I'll update Busy box first

Edit. Yep I have more then one copy of busy box installed. Now what do I need to do?

Yes, it is the modifier that was released earlier. This could be the culprit, uh....that means I will have to revert back to GB and start all over again from scratch.
