carrier: verizon

phone history: was original bionic with sim from 18months ago when purchased. It was activated in the last week with a newer sim card supplied vzw. (I kept the old sim card just in case).  Phone was updated to latest system update. (I'm assuming Jellybean but in my haste I did not check for sure to verify I just assumed cause I checked for system update and it said it was up to date) I perfomed root with tinylinux virtual machine process. It  worked fine. I then went and installed boinicbootstrap.apk from 2011 (maybe I should have bought the the $2.99 one in store).  I rebooted into recovery and did a backup in cwm which was successfuly. when phone rebooted after backup it received an encryption failed error. I attemepted to use HOB 10.3 (rsd lite 5.7)  app to flash cdma_targa_9.8.2O-72_VZW-22_cfc.xml.zip. the following way.

1. select fastboot mode in bios boot

2. connected cable

3. selected cdma_targa_9.8.2O-72_VZW-22_cfc.xml.zip file and decrompress and run.

the flashing process fails on step 5/24 fb_mode

any suggestions?

Bootstrap will not work on the bionic with JB, it will totally brick the phone.

Thanks Droidrzr for the continued support of my family and a special thank you to Kaos and Kelly....
