I've already done my homework but I still have a couple questions before I take the jump.

1) I've heard some people say that webtop runs pretty choppy and low RAM notifications are frequent when using webtop. Is this true or am I just hearing people complain?

2) I looked at the conversion thread on xda and I'm concerned that my commuter otter box will be too thick to get a solid connection. Is there are way to raise the ports off the dock? or would the cables be long enough to let them hang out with the phone sitting comfortably on a table.

3) Are there any better deals than $73 for the atrix lapdock on amazon? I wouldn't mind getting the lapdock 100 if it was $100 but $250? ridiculous

4) I haven't heard any entirely convincing comments about battery life. I understand that the lapdock charges the phone from its battery while it's running. Is 5 hours a realistic estimate of the battery?

Thanks guys Im hoping this will be a good replacement for my outdated eee

I just ordered mine from Amazon. I've used the Lapdock 100 a couple times with my Razr and it was a little choppy running webtop 3.0 beta (ics .75 leak). Again why I too wouldn't pay over $100 for a lapdock. But I can't pass on the Atrix dock. From what I understand the quality of this lapdock is greater than the 100. Remember this had a $499.99 retail price at launch.

I get the low memory messages all the time while on 1 site, but most others I don't. YouTube also plays better in mobile view than in webtop browser.

If you're going to use a case I wouldn't bother doing the mod, just use extension cables. If you get it from all 4 cellular it comes with cables for $70 (Amazon listing may be from them).

I'm not sure exactly how many hours you can get, screen brightness & how low your Razr's battery is will play into that but 5hr shouldn't be hard to get. Your will also he fully charged if you used it for a full charge on the lapdock.

Aside from not having the multi-touch & a back key for mobile view I think the Atrix is a lot better than the 100 especially for the current prises, while being nearly the same size you get a bigger display. I personally don't care for touch pads so I use a BT mouse which makes things a lot nicer to use, but multi-touch is still a bit nice for swiping in mobile view so I've ordered a mouse that also has multi-touch hoping it will work. I've also already have a working USB webcam for mine, I may trying an internal one for a laptop latter & if it works install it inside the lid.
