I'm surprised I haven't seen any posts here about the new update.  My phone's been bugging me to install it for a few days now.   I'd really like to find a safe way to install it.  There's supposedly a fix for the issue I'm having with my M freezing while charging overnight.   I tried to let it install the normal way, but I kept getting errors and it just kept booting to recovery....I'm assuming because my phones unlocked?  Is there a way that I can save it to my SD and install it from recovery (TWRP)?

The update has been out for days.. you missed all the posts lol.

If you're trying to install the update in TWRP it won't work. You will need to reinstall the stock recovery by flashing through adb. Then it will work.

I will wait to have someone else tell you exactly how to do the update so nothing will mess up. I don't own the device so I don't know. I don't want to mess up your phone, but the above should help you.

The update is nothing special. Freeze the updater.apk so the notifications will stop and wait for the developers to pick out what very little is good and implement into a ROM!

Thanks for the replies. I'll freeze the updater for now.
