When I bought a maxx off craigslist, I just swapped my sim card from my regular razr to it and didn't have to notify Verizon or anything, it just worked. As long as you got the sim from them for your account/phone, it should work in whatever phone you put it in.

you really should let verizon know you are now the owner of that phone not the last guy, and he sold it to you. That way if he calls verizon and says" oh no someone stole my phone, i need a new one!" You dont get screwed with a banned esn for a" stolen" phone.

Not needed. They know the second you power phone up. And if person gets service shut off for non payment phone will not be blacklisted because it is now on paid up account. Just the way it works. That is why you see phones listed for half value on Craigslist so people can sell before blacklisted.

dont think you understood what i was getting at. I am Talking about a person commiting fraud and using the person he sold the phone to as his "thief" who stole said phone that he wants insurance to cover, when in fact the phone was sold. then if the law gets involved its a wholte other barrel of monkeys. I would let verizon know about the transaction with the other person present. Stolen phones DO get banned... and potentially prosecuted

A Motorola device with model number XT926 attached to it, cruised through the FCC today. As we know thanks to a variety of

. According to this FCC filing, it was tested for Verizon’s 3G (CDMA 800/1900) and LTE networks. It also packs GSM and WCDMA radios, so there is a good chance that this phone will end up with global roaming capabilities. As you can see from the picture above, an NFC chip is included as well.

We have no idea when this phone will launch, but FCC filings are always a good sign that it should be right around the corner. Is this Moto and Big Red’s next summer blockbuster device? You tell me.
