Hy. my name is VIC

from Europe. 

got an Razr MAXX with Verizon US on stock JB and custom Eclipse rom.... working on 3G and EDGE. with some bugs

 

i've been recently having some strange problems:

 

while being able TO call, i couldn't receive calls.

it would say "out of range" while i would be calling from another phone. 

 

it happened on GSM/3G and edge.  I haven't seen 4G's  cause i'm from Europe...

that's on stock and i also tried another rom (on another slot) 

 

now it's working. for now... 

 

sometimes people tell me they can't call me although i am always able to make a call.

 

 

has anyone had same problems?

can you give any advice?

I know this is a simple request...

 

If I do have any issues with Incoming or Outgoing calls I will Power Down my phone...Kinda Refreshes everything...

 

 

Its Possible B-Cuz your International your Network Mode may have to be Set as Global...

 

• Goto Setting
• More
• Moble Networks
• Network Mode
• Chose Global...Try it out and see what happens

Their are other settings and I have mine Set at:

LTE/CDMA/EVDO

 

 

I've noticed that when I Take an CM Update my Network Mode was changed...I usually can tell when my phone doesnt take Incoming or Outgoing or No one can hear me...

 

Doesnt happen Often but it does happen...

can't receive calls when data on edge is activated. without data or on 3G wit/without data all is fine.

 

i'm thinking it's a sofware bug

This is a very unique issues...its definitely in your Network Mode...possible dilemma with settings or the correct settings...

since i became aware of this  problem i tried very carefully many ROMS. 

i have found that with every ROM (stock, Cyanogenmod, Liquidsmooth, Rage, Aviator, Eclipse, AOKP)  this same problem arises.

 

i'm staying on 3G anyways and my battery life seems fine (2 days of light/moderate usage).

just need to be carefull whne no 3g is available (like subways) to disable data. 

 

has anyone any idea how can this be made automatically?

(when on 2G -> disable data?) - i've tried taske but with no succes.
