new problem for me after flashing 2 different ROMs (revolt and the latest PACMan) - neither one recognizes the external SD Card.  however, when I boot to recovery, the TWRP does recognize the SD card.

i have tried rebooting and unmount sd card, removing it, and putting it back in, but still no dice.

I vaguely recall reading somewhere that I'll need to re-format the card to FAT32 or something of the liking.

my only way around this is to restore my backup.

other than that, I may have to copy the contents of external card to my computer, flash a new ROM, format the sd card, then copy the contents back to the sd card and hope that works.

any other suggestions?

thanks!

I was have this problem. You can just copy files, what you need, from internal storage to SD card using TWRP file manager. Then flash ROM or restore your backup.

Good luck

so all of sudden, my phone is not recognizing the sd card (currently on Orion AOKP 6/29 build).  however, when I use Root Explorer, I can navigate to the external_sd drive just fine.

so I had to do a system restore via TWRP.  I suspect the issue could be with Supersu.  I installed the app (and even tried to install it in the system), so I think that there might be some sort of conflict between that app and Superuser....
