no matter which 4.2.2 ROM I use, I cannot seem to get good audio response during a recorded video playback.  after recording a video via either the stock camera/gallery app or another camera app (Camera Zoom FX), during playback, the audio is hardly audible - even with the volume on max.

 

any ideas?  i suspect there might be a setting in the hidden menu somewhere - so if someone can share that secret, I can try that.

This is a camcorder issue with 4.2.2 roms due to kernel issues. I would bet if you flashed a 4.1.2 stock rom it would be fine.

i was afraid you might be right - almost like the rear mic is muted...
