This is just for this device. No tethering. Just this data usage plus streaming music a lot.

"Too much" is a subjective term. You are lucky enough to have an unlimited plan so I think you are more than justified to use 9GB or even 90GB. You may be using more than the average VZW customer (if their statistics are to be believed) but certainly not abusing the system. In short, you're paying for unlimited, might as well use it.

I have to agree. I use somewhere between 4 to 8gb on average a month. It all goes towards Netflix, MOG, Motocast ( I download a lot of things from my computer) and other general surfing of the net. You are using what you are given and doing so within the boundaries that was agreed upon. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that IMO.

It all depends on the apps you use frequently. And whether or not you connect to WiFi or exclusively use your mobile data.

For me i think the reason is that my wifi is slower than my 3G (Verizon DSL). So I honestly use my phone for everything.

I have always used my phone heavily and i used to watch Netflix and stream music constantly in the car but my monthly data was never over 5 gb so i thought anyone using more than 10 was going overboard.

Well, the last two months i have used an average of 20 gb a month and i have not watched a single movie on Netflix and i do not stream music as much. Most of my favorite music is downloaded on the phone.

I do not tether or anything like that either so obviously i now see how it is very easy to use a high amount of data and i no longer judge anyone for their usage.

Five days in and Im at 15.561gig. I dont have the luxury of having wifi so I have to use the phone. I do tether, a lot. But I am paying for it, and its unlimited. So I use what I pay for. One day the lady at Verizon said something about me using to much data, so I asked her was I close to hitting my limit. She said no you have unlimited. I said whew I though I was about to run over. She just looked at me.

I typically use 10-15 gb a month.. My question is, how does your OS use so much more of your battery than your screen? My screen is always the top drainer on my battery, usually around 40 percent

I think it's because of the ROM I'm using.

Yup this is why Verizon is ending unlimited data... these 4g phones can suck data pretty fast...personally I would rather they throttle over 5gb or something reasonable...when one customer uses more than 50 average ones this is a problem when there in business to make money

Im in a 3g only area. Yeasterday I was at 15.5 gig today im at 17.5, last month I used 43 gig. Now before I had tethering on my phone I only used about 20. But under no circumstances should Verizon throttle. I am paying them exactly what they asked. Im not stealing anything from them. There are no specifications about my plan it only says unlimited. I have kept by contract with them I expect them to do the same to me. You know over time we have to upgrade. We upgrade our phones the state upgrades roads we have to upgrade our cars. Mabey its time for them to upgrade there service to keep up with the times.
