So this is the 2nd razr that i have had this issue with. Just wondering if anyone else has had it, or knows of a fix, or if it a replaceable part.

Everything on the phone works, except the mic. The phone can make receive calls but the other end cannot hear anything. No warning, just went out?

Stock rooted 181

My girlfriend had the same issue on her 4th day with the phone. Took it to Verizon and they gave her a new one

No mic issues for me, but shortly after getting my Maxx my ringer volume dropped to about 1/2-even though the volume was turned all the way up. Lightly tapping it on my leg fixed the issue & it hasn't returned.........yet.

I've personally only had one problem between my two Razrs, the first had a faulty battery cable that caused it to randomly reboot from intermittent power loss. My current one I used as an audio recorder for ~8 hours straight while hooked up to a Lapdock 500 being used solely as an ungodly large external battery while uploading the audio clips over 4G. After doing this for two days the battery meter stopped working, the phone got incredibly hot, and things acted up at random. After about 48 hours and 2 recharge cycles with no wipes everything fixed itself. Since then I'm back to having ~18-20 hours of battery life with ease while using it all day, and having no issues.

Could have been the speaker simply getting stuck, or could be a serious issue. Either way I'd keep a close eye on it. It also wouldn't hurt to call up Verizon and tell them about it and do something like ask if it is a common issue. If they say come in store to get it swapped out, then yay. If not, ask them to put a note on your account so that you don't forget when it happened. That way, if it happens again you have a record on file already.

Ok. So the first time i had this prob, i just scraped the phone and used what i could for parts. This time i was gonna swop out the mobo from one of my repair phones. (Note that this phone is my fathers phone, 72 but wanted a cool phone like me). So as i take apart the phone i notice some weird gunk behind the mike hole, covering the mike screen. I took a few min cleaning the screen off, reasembled and all is well. I have no clue what he got in there butt hat was the problem.

I really think this was a keen play on me to get him a maxx, lol. It worked. Got him a maxx and just soled his og razr.

Thanks for all the help and input.
