This update will:
1) Call erase_image on CACHE, SYSTEM, USERDATA, and BOOT partitions
2) Mount /sd-ext (if it exists) and delete all files from it
3) Delete all files in the /sdcard/.android_secure directory which is where all the froyo apps2sd files live
4) Run e2fsck (file system repair) on the your ext partition
5) Log all output to the /tmp/wipe.log file (if you care)

I think this is the most complete way to wipe a phone. It supersedes 'fastboot erase system -w', VOL_DOWN+HOME+BACK, Amon_RA wipes, or various other flashable update-wipe zips.

It appears that it erases everything, even the external SD.  Can you get into fastboot (power off phone, hold pwr and vol+ and vol- until the menu appears.  Vol- to fastboot, vol+ to choose).  If you can get into fastboot, you can use RSD to flash a .xml zip and recovery, I think.  I've read about recovering from from "fastboot erase system" before, but I can't find the thread.  Also, I'm not 100% you can RSD back from this.  Hopefully, the experts will chime in.

Hold volume down and power for 10 seconds then quickly hold both volumes and power should bring you to a menu

If that works go to fastboot and use rsd to flash the system

I'm not sure but I think those drivers are not a good thing. I'll see if I can find anything to help. But keep trying the button combo and try to charge your phone good luck

After just reading the first post in the op quoted fro super wipe- you may have big issues. This was for a different phone, back in 2010, running FROYO. It looks like it was designed to play with partitions too. I'm surprised it even flashed. Hopefully the android magician's can help get you straightened out,and I'll definitely be keeping up with this thread to learn some things.

But the biggest thing here, for all of us, is to make sure you flash only the things intended for your phone, and your specific software version. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you dude.

This is a prime example of read...read...and read some more not everything can be fixed with an fxz if you can't get into fast boot.

Try to find a phone repair shop that does JTAG . I'm not sure exactly what that is and not sure if it would work. Sorry man.

Why would somebody fell the need to do this? Especially when recovery has all the options needed to wipe whatever you may need.

Unless someone has a helpful comment for the op please refrain the comments asking why this would be done. Thanks
