All thanks go to Aviwdoowks for providing a flashable new baseband for our M's.  He originally posted this on XDA, I only downloaded it then re-uploaded to DevHost for providing the update in a couple of other non-related posts.

Anyway, here's his OP:

I use maxthon tablet hd for all but file Uploads. I need firefox for uploads. Chrome is useless on xda. I will try chrome then.

Can you flash this over a 4.3 rom to update the radio? My latest ROM seems to be getting worse service than I had on stock but I don't want to go back to stock.

the new baseband is SM_BP_101032.020.32.78P

given that other folks questioned the direction of the baseband as well, I felt it was necessary since they clearly overlooked this - I'm just trying to help out.  keep it professional.

I didn't think there was any negativity in that.  Many people have missed that the front end changed as well and jco was just pointing that out for everyone's benefit.

I'm just saying that in helping out certain phrases can be omitted. Some things don't translate well in written word. I took it as he was inferring ignorance for not comparing every number.

I didn't notice any improvements with the new baseband in 3g,WiFi, or 4g signal .as a matter of fact I noticed I am not connected to 4g as often as I used to be with the old baseband. Is there anyway to go back to the old

You can install dead calm, Tim has a deodexed version posted here, and there is a "clean ROM" on xda.
