I have searched through about 80 threads trying to find the easiest way to Root .209 ICS leak. There seems to be contradictory methods that are starting to worry me. Can anyone make a simple list for me to follow?

I did this on the last several updates and it works flawlessly. Heck, if I can do this any of you noobs can.

You don't even have to use BP Tools, normal boot works, so that's one step easier. :P

Sometimes yeah. I had one time happen where it didn't boot properly without BP Tools

One quick question. What number is ICS Root supposed to be in your Utility Matt? I don't seem to have it in mine.

I would go ahead and re-download this one. This is the one I have and I have used it to root .84 as well as the unstuck method for .206 and .209

Just so you are aware this does not root .209 directly. You do have to do a little fancy footwork, but I think from the above posts you get the process?

Thanks Tucstwo, Yeah, this is totally different than the one that I had.

Matt, can you put the boot into fastboot mode back into your utility? I actually use that one a lot since my phone refuses to got into fastboot the manual way. I actually just used the utility I had to do just that, then run the Unstuck, then open up and run the new utlitily, then back to the unstuck!

Thanks to you both of course!!

Step 5 Using Matt's 1.6 Droid Razr Utility Chose Option 3 (Ice Cream Sandwich Root)
Step 6 Boot into ap fastboot mode
Step 7 Using Unstuck 209 Utility Chose Option 1 (Fastboot flash 6.16.209 Kernal <4.0.4>)

Happy I could help. I'm surprised you had 1.6 but yet clearly didn't. Did you d/l your version of the utility from another forum? Perhaps its been mislabeled elsewhere?

I got it from here a while ago. I think it was put up before it was finished, and I just downloaded it early or something. All good!
