What happens if you do a system reset with a rooted maxx hd with a locked bootloader running stock .79 with frozen Motorola services? I ask because my phone once did a system reset on its own for no apparent reason.

Not sure what your question is... When you system reset it wipes your data.

I don't think you lose root just the SU app. You should be able to download it again and have root. I think...

Factory "Data" Reset -:basically wipes the data partition. The Subinary is stored in system so as Memnoch said you will lose the super user app but what gives you root is still there . I would be site to replace it with the same app.
