so ill be the frist to admit idk what im doing i just need to hear from someone who knows if what wanna try is a for sure brick or if it should work, should being the key word i wont blame anyone who gives intelligent input and i screw it up,

so moving on, i wanna know if i have an existing flashable rom zip and i wanna add/remove/change file in it, can i simply open the zip with in winrar and change what i need to? or will it fail to flash or brick when i try to flash.

for referance im trying to change an apns-conf.xml and root dose not work on the room so i cant do it from root explorer and i dont get pushing files with adb so if doing it this way works ill learn adb comands when i have the deserved time to dedicate to it

Editing an xml will probably cause issues... Do you have an unlocked bootloader?

It would be better to use 7zip to edit the flashable zip :)..... then you need not worry about zipping it back up and/or changing compression levels, etc..... you can pull the file you wish to edit out of the zip, make your edits then drag and drop it back in...:)

....you should be having fun....

7zip allows you to easily change files without unzipping..... and all the zip settings (compression, etc) of the ROM zip stay intact..... for swapping files like you are doing you simply drag and drop into the appropriate place within the zip and it will automatically overwrite the original and update the zip file :)

WinZip and winrar sometimes alter the compression and other settings when dragging and dropping into it ......

....you should be having fun....
