I have downloaded everything but the motochopper link here so I am not sure if that one will work. When I go to that site it requires me to register to download the files, is there a mirror for it that does not do this?

My second question is whether I can unlock the boot loader, I know I cannot on the latest OTA, but I cannot find anything on 98.16.3

thanks in advance.

You cannot unlock the bootloader now that you have installed the latest update.  You can use the modified Motochopper for root -

Yeah I did not update, I had to return my daughters do to overheating and the refurb came updated :/

I am going to guess all refurbished phones will be updated now.

I've seen reports of a few people that have requested to have a non-updated phone sent to them, and Verizon obliged.
