Then again, it absolutely destroys some phones on there-- how the hell were the Blackberry Curve or other non-flagship phones even considered? Let alone the two-year-old iPhone 4...

I think its funny all of these guys run out and buy the next best thing with very poor battery life because of it's unlock boot or because it may have a better screen or a better whatever, yeah sure you can root the hell out of your new phone put all of those neat programs on it, but the phone is worthless if you have to stay plugged into outlet or run around with a batman utility belt full of spare batteries and turn your once slim phone into a huge brick with your extended battery. My vote is the maxx.

Agreed! I love being able to take this to work, listen to music all day long, moderate texting, surfing, gaming without the slightest worry that my phone will die. I've found it can do this two days straight without charge. I no longer panic when the battery gets to 20% cuz I know I can get at least another 5 hours out of it. It's just great to have a phone that doesn't need life support.
I'm also fairly satisfied with the ICS stock once debloated. It's, smooth, fast and long lasting. The only reason I'd get a custom rom would be to make all the blues red.
Maxx ftw!
