Hey guys okay! so.. heres the story

1.Thought the phone's battery was dead(Call this P1), ordered a new phone(Call this P2), smashed the screen & charged the battery on P2 and inserted it into P1.

2.Phone still wouldn't charge, must of been a corrupted ROM/flash.. and I cant get the phone to show on the PC and the phone is stuck on "Connect USB" in AP Fastboot.

*Tried 5 different USB Cords

*Tried two different PC's

*Dosent show on RSD either

Using Option 1 - Hopeless until I get the phone connected.

Use Matts Utility in the first link you have is probably easiest. Do option 1 which reflashes you back to 4.1.2 Jellybean and wipes and stop there. Option 3 would root you.

So if I'm correct.. this should fix my charging issues unless it has something to do with my hardware. Also this would put me to stock, But will this stop all future updates from Motorola?

Btw charging up my other battery through the cracked screen phone and ghetto sticking in the phone battery since 2 of the torx screws are completely stripped -.-"

Last Question.. as of 7:45pm EST can someone give me an ETA of how long the phone will take to fully charge? from 0% to full..? probably around 11pm should be okay to do the flash?

Also I would like to thank you guys for the answers.. until then I'll repost my results!

Yes.... unless you have damaged hardware ....:)

And yes....typically takes about 2 1/2 - 3 hours from fully depleted to 100%....

Then the utility should take you about 10 - 20 min total :)

Okay got the battery in, went into AP fast boot tried matts thing but it didn't work because the device wasn't showing on my pc

Safestrap was disabled, and im re-enabling it noe then giving it another shot..

Are there any other alternative solutions? for example using the sd card, for now I just want to be able to charge my damn battery then I can unroot from there.. I saw your post to someone else and none it it worked(changing cords etc) so.. now its just about re-installing drivers and re-enabling safestrap!
I'll fill you in later when its all done..

Also for the drivers, must I update motocast for them?

I also have EasyTether which uses the device but I think it installs the same drivers who knows

It really has nothing to do with safestrap being enabled or not..... :) .... if the computer cannot see you phone.... it is typically a driver issue.... here are the latest drivers if you need them :)

Also..... if you happen to have any other service using adb.... it will not work.... adb has a one track mind LOL (it can only do one thing at a time)

Okay, Ive gathered 6 different cables, installed the newest drivers for two computers and it says the device has malfunctioned and it dosent show up on the pc and the phone still says Connect USB(in AP Fastboot)..
Looks like im SOL haha.. I also used smart close to ensure that I have nothing else running that would interfere with this, can I use safestrap and/or BP SPF Flash or have any alternative to this...

Also My
Device status: Locked
Status code: 0
Connect USB
Data Cable

I would gladly go ahead and just replace the screen on my old phone since the phone worked 100% fine but my problem would be that's I stripped a Torx T3 screw and now im screwed -.-

So all I can fiddle around with is really just SafeStrap.

Reloaded the ROM I had on there, Simplex 1.3 and I STILL CANT CHARGE! I tried the AP Fastboot then to the tools but it brings me into safestrap.. so I have no clue on charging, also I am charging on the rom but its not going up, just down.. I'm guessing this is due to a flash error? and my phone is still not able to pop up on my desktop or laptop.. I'm in a major need of help haha.. Well Im really to knock a few androids out so Im going to screw with this until I get it working or pass out trying. BTW! my battery status is OK in AP Fastboot but on the ROM it says 15% I just reset the battery stats now, ill re-post results tomorrow or later, Until then I'm still searching for a solution.

Okay, woke up battery still going down and no charge, from here All I need to know is how to get a way to re-flash my phone, but the phone wont be detected on the computer because it says "the device has malfunctioned' and cant find the drivers when I have the latest drivers installed, tried this on two computers.

I tried charging and nothing, I know it isn't a battery issue because I could charge it on another phone, but not I think about it I left it charging for 3 hours the rom said 15% but AP Fastboot said the battery is fine.. What would my solution be to fix the charging? I've come to the point where AP Fastboot seems hopeless since it wont connect. What are my other options? Installing a stock ROM until I get the phone to connect?

Heres my issues..

*Cant Charge the Phone Battery

*Cant Connect the Phone to PC(dosent show up)

Also how would I charge from Safestrap?

Edit: ..... derp! Charging in safestrap is really no different than normal charging..... :) just plug in (and in your case, cross your fingers?) "... try not, do! or do not! there is no try..."

You gave me the drivers yesterday, and the phone dosent show, but my broken screen Razr shows up. so all I can really do is anything from my SD card.

Basically the Razr Maxx Im trying to fix now wont show up.

The old Razr Maxx that has a smashed screen shows.

So now it kind of sounds like the micro usb port on the phone is not working properly. did you maybe try and blow it out? maybe some lint or dirt got in there

I think cmh is right.... its sounding note and more like a bad USB port .... Or there may be debris in it (or further down inside the phone) "... try not, do! or do not! there is no try..."

Okay, well I have come to the conclusion that this phone is fully bricked/broke. I have it on it connected to Verizon and activated BUT I cant make calls, there's no 4G network, it wont charge, and in battery stats it says dis-charging. When I turn the phone off and plug it into a wall charger the white light comes on for a second then turns off. When I plug it into a PC the phone turns on and proceeds to Safestrap(press menu or serach etc etc). Also I cannot get the phone detected on my pc.

Thus all of this are two solutions that I think are plausible..

1. Re-flash The Phone(impossible atm)

2. Fix the USB connector

3. Replace the screen on my old Razr with this one but the issue there is getting 2 Torx T3 Screw's out that are stripped..

I'm SOL!

For the stripped screws ..... you can use a very small (no drill) screw extractor .... or try the next size higher torx .....
