This ad constantly pops up. Sometimes I can x out sometimes I have to go back to the previous page. I'm already on Verizon is the worst part.

Install an ad blocker or I believe if you run cross breeder it disables ads.

there is no work around that a member of staff can perform but as shane said an adblocker does disable it. Im using adaway.

I got adfree just stopped using it because it blocks sites I use also among other issues. For the most part ads don't bother me but this one is a thorn in my rear end.

some of the better blockers allow you to white list sites and they also allow good adds to go through.

Android firewall allows you to whitelist specific sites, apps, etc as well..... I use adfree and android firewall and never have unwanted ads

Crossbreeder blocks ads and has a few other benefits.

2 things:

 

A.) you are trying to access the webpage via mobile phone - there is a mobile version link down at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen (look for the 3 yellow bars - kinda like a wifi signal tipper over)

 

B.) get Tapatalk 4 app (it's free on the market)

 

in either version, I do not get ads.

The crossbreeder mod is awesome. I flashed it on my tablet with no problems but when I try to flash it to my phone in SS it fails. Any ideas?

2: I very much doubt CrossBreeder will ever work on bootloader-locked stock devices (anything other than the M and HDs that got BL unlocked a few months ago) because it requires kernel options that stock ROMs probably don't have.

 

if you really want help, you should post in the Q&A/Discussion forums for your phone rather than a random topic in a completely different phone's forum

shane mentioned to try Crossbreeder, so I'm guessing that the previous poster did not realize that Cross breeder cannot be installed via SS.

CrossBreeder works on the xt912 for adblocking & entropy mgmt. I've used it since March. The kernel specific features just don't load, but that doesn't impede the ones that do work. Ss3.53 may not work to flash it though, I haven't tried it because it was installed prior to me upgrading recoveries.
Another mod to try is Fly-On from xda, it does flash on the RAZR with ss3.53, but you have to manually fix permissions afterward.

Since Crossbreeder was mentioned for it's adblock ability, and since there are ways to get it on locked BL's for certain aspects, I say it is still somewhat on topic as far as this thread goes - just not relevant to the OP's device.  Any further support questions might be better served  in a more appropriate location however.

Well I have an m and it is unlocked and this section is tied to the xt907 topic list so it seemed appropriate to post here. If not I have no issue with it being moved. Regardless I'm not interested in adblockers. Ya the speed up page loads but they also block sites entirely which causes issues for me.
