I got my Maxx last week. I had heard amazing stories about battery life, and, coming from a Droid X with a custom rom and crappy battery life, I wanted to test it. The second day I had it, (Had to charge it over night), I ran my new phone till the battery was at %1. I got just at 40 hours on that charge with totaly normal use. Phone calls, music, even read my book on it with the Kindle app. The next day I rooted it, and installed SafeStrap, and Root Tool Box. The last 3 days at the end of the day I have about %30 left, where I had about %50 before rooting. Any chance rooting or one of those apps is killing my battery life? Maybe I am just being paranoid, and need to test it again... The cooles thing about this phone for me is the loooonnnnngggg battery life. (Well, that and it not rebooting several times a day for no reason!).
Thanks!

Maybe its a setting you enabled in rom toolbox pro? Safestrap and root dont affect battery life at all.......

That's what I thought, too. I have only used the toolbox for the root file manager, and browsed the other settings. Haven't changed overclocking, density, etc. Basicly got it to have it, and the promo to purchase it was a partial donation to a good cause, so... I NEEDED it... HA!

Too much yelling in this thread lol.so... I NEEDED it... HA!
No but seriously just go into your battery section in your Settings, and battery usage. Look at your graph and see when the battery drops the most, or maybe there's an app that's using like 15%+ of your battery. That's always how you perfect battery life. Battery stats in the Android OS are priceless.

If you just installed a ROM charge to 100%, let it die then recharge until 100% again and that will fix battery life
ROMS tend to drain the battery after you first install it

Next time focus on screen on time instead of up time. That will tell you if your usage has changed vs just some random number off the charger.

I'm not a moderator but I think your thread would get more assistance in Droid Razr Support.
Have you tried power cycling? Your problem sounds like a rogue app or one that is keeping the phone from sleeping or constantly using data. Definitely check to make sure that nothing is keeping your phone awake continuously. Then, see if any apps are set to constantly pull data.

Where is the Droid Razr Support forum link? I couldn't find it on the main page of this site...
I have power cycled. About the same. I will focus on the screen on time, and the Voice Calls bars...
Thanks!

edit: OK, I didn't bother to scroll down. Duh.
