I use Foxfi and it works flawlessly. I've been on the ICS leak since .75 and have upgraded as soon as the unstuck method was available. It has worked in every version of GB and ICS I have had.

I am not sure how the soak works, it might be different from what I am using.

Well, I say to each his own. I used foxfi, until I found this method, and it has worked great without adding software to my phone, not that that really matters, lol...but I guess I just like using stock for this.

I am not sure about fastbooting back, I have seen problems with people trying that. I would go to the chat room and ask around first.

I don't know what system version you are on, but if you're on the latest ICS, there is no fastboot back to GB. Moto killed GB when they updated ICS.

I'm on 211. When I start up the hotspot it works for barely one second and then it turns itself off. (And yes I did the 79 hack)

When I use FoxFi, my tablet connects and everything, but the Icon never turns blue and websites take thousands of years to load anything.

I had the same thing happen...it worked after after a data wipe and reflash.

I actually got it working by freezing sqlite editor and rebooting. I may have fixed it simply by rebooting. We'll see if it consistently works.
