hi guys, i got this problem where i wanted to flash a kernal. it says to erase my CID etc. but before that,i did backup my CID but didn't put it in the ext-sd or computer. so when i flashed the kernal, everything was successful....or i think it was....but when it rebooted, it says my CID is missing.

so is there any way to retrive my CID from phone? or im screwed? lol

thanks in advance

Hi, I also have a erased CID On my xt912 . I want to start from the beginning . I had the erased CID but it wasn't an issue because it was a rooted phone and it worked perfectly. Then it got wet, I mean very small amount , but enough to do something. I dried it out and it worked fine except it had no cell service, but wifi worked and it would reboot after 3 minutes. I lost my patience and built a factory cable ( pin 1 to 4) and fast boot flashed the Jeley bean back on it. It stil had the CID issue so I just booted Bp tool option and it came to life made calls everything, but now no matter what cable I can't charge the battery, it says connect your charger and won't charge with any cable. If I boot using the other Bp option it will detect the charger and start charging, but it starts rebooting again so I never get it charged. It won't charge with the power off. I also replaced the SIM card . I also want to mention I do get intermittent loss of service like the radio goes dead, but it works most of the time and I'm in souther cal and there is no dead zones near me. I love this phone and am sad to get rid of it, but I lost patience and just ordered the new droid maxx, but my wife has a black berry and she would love this phone. I do have the CID image and bin files saved. I imagine I should start there , but does it sound like the water damaged the phone? The stickers inside are not red that's how little water got in, the water was in the micro USB area. Any help would be appreciated , maybe I will just sell the phone, it is great condition not a scratch on it.
