Have you tried opening the downloads app and or folder.. force deletion of the file..... also the cache and dalvik cache should be cleared (in safestrap) HD tappin' .... hillbilly style!! Go to the full post

I was looking for an image to send to a friend via MMS. So I did a google image search and tried to download and save the image. The image never downloaded but I have a "downloading" notification consistently breathing in the notification shade. Its been over 24 hours now.

When I long press the notification, the only option I have is "app info".

I have force closed the download manager app, disabled the app, re-enabled the app, power cycled, soft reset, all to no avail. When I force close and/or disable the app, the notification goes away for a few minutes, only to return with vengeance....

Any ideas?
