Using SS 3.53, Stock ROM GONE

Best Answer JOSHSKORN , 19 September 2013 - 04:06 PM

What is the middle button?

I don't think you can delete your stock slot in safestrap... did you try activating your stock slot and booting into it?

Do you have any other ROMs on your internal/external SD?  You could install one on another slot, at least to get it to boot, and see what's what from there...

You might be right.  See below.  Problem solved.

What was happening was, I would select Boot Options and it would go back to this black screen with small white text on it, saying it was erasing/formatting various files/directories.  Upon trying to reboot, it warned me that no ROM was installed and I had no OS.

See the YouTube link below right around 2.02. You see the back arrow on the left, a house on the right and a button in the middle.  This is the button I was referring to.

In desperation, I just started pushing buttons in safestrap, I pushed the same button again (the one between the house and back key).  I really don't know how, but this time, I would press Boot Options, and the slots did appear!  I was able to re-activate my Stock ROM slot.  Problem solved!

I think what I saw was, somehow my phone thought I'd formatted my rom slot and it was under the impression that I'd wiped out the OS.

I was trying to install Cyanogenmod 10.2 and while in Safestrap setting up Stockrom slot 1, somehow my finger slipped and I hit the middle button between the back and home buttons.  The next thing I know, my stock rom slot is gone.  I did not make a backup of my phone.

How can I get my phone back?  I haven't turned my phone off and it's still loaded in Safestrap.  I'll just let it go to sleep and leave it plugged in until I get this resolved.  Thanks.
