I have a Razr HD that keeps rebooting on it's own. It started when I was trying to run the Illusion rom some time ago, but has stayed with me as I've tried others.

I've completely wiped the phone and started fresh, still get the reboots.

I've run CatLog to see about capturing what's crashing my phone, nothing.

Last night I decided to roll back to stock(still rooted/unlocked) and so far no reboots.

Beyond apps, what might be causing this to reboot? I say beyond apps, because I've had it crash on me without installing any apps at all. Heck, yesterday it crashed on me while running Carbon 4.3, with nothing on it, while just talking on the phone.

Could it be a weird radio? Kernel issue? Possessed phone? An old nemesis who now works at the NSA?

I'm pretty sure it was your nemesis at the NSA. Hopefully he doesn't hack my phone just for outing him...

Usually reboots are Kernel related. Especially when bouncing between Blur and AOSP roms. Not really a solid specific fix. You'll just have to do lots of testing with AOSP roms before making it a Daily Driver and try not to feed in to your crackflashing habit.  ;)

Sooooo stick with Blur-based roms and I should be solid? Booo

I've tried quite a few of the AOSP roms so far, and I think most have crashed my phone.  <_<

Thanks for the information!

Yeah you'll be good with Blur based.

Have you tried CM?? That's usually the most stable of the AOSP stuff because they build Kerenls specific to your phone as opposed to the other "ports" of AOSP

Well I've run Carbon and Beanstalk, which are both based off of CM, if I'm not mistaken. Would going to just base CM be a good idea? What about using a custom kernel + an AOSP rom?

Well on my Droid DNA I've tried Carbon and had issues. The last week I have been on official CM 10.2 with a custom kernel and loving it. When I had the HD (wife's phone now) I only ran Stock based stuff. YMMV
