You answered your own question in your post! This Utility is for the Moto Droid Razr Verizon/CDMA. Look in the GSM section someone may have made a Utility version for your Razr? And please read the OP before continuing!!!!

having the EXACT same problem as jmlenz. I've done everything he has. I've followed the instructions perfectly. I've used the help thread. I've googled until I'm cross-eyed. My phone has never been rooted and I still have all the bloatware. I was even able to use 1.6 to restore to factory (just for kicks) and I can't OTA or sideload. I get stuck with a failure on OTA and a I get the exact error as jmlenz.

updating LTE...
asset failed: motorola .motoflash("/tmp/lte.img")
E: Error in /tmpsideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

Are we just doomed? I spent 12 hours on this yesterday doing it every way I can think of. Different computers, different cables.. wipe before running utility, wipe after utility, booting GB, then going back to recovery, wiping before running ICS sideload. Same results every time. It's incredibly maddening.

bought a bad esn xt912 off ebay with hope to be reflashed to other network. stuck on lte.img as well. any remedy for the issue here?

Why not just try the simplest and easiest route and use RSD Lite to flash the sbf file

SBF file for your phone can be found here:

RSD Lite can be found here for download in the first post:

Broke the screen on my rooted droid razr. Can't see anything but cracks. Replaced with new droid razr & rooted it. Now I have to send my old phone back. Should I worry about restoring it or unrooting it? If so, how can I do it since I can see the screen?
Thanks

You replaced it for a cracked screen, which made it unusable. That has nothing to do with rooting, so you probably shouldn't worry about it. If you scramble it by half unrooting, you'll be no better off. You might be able to use HDMI or a third party app to see what you're doing on another screen.

FWIW, they can tell if it was rooted, even if you return it to stock. And frankly, fraud claims for water damage or abuse are more likely to cause issues (since they are fraud, which is not condoned by this site or any other android development site of which I am aware).

Hi, I think I have a bad download for the Utility. I tried to unzip and it is giving me an error of "archive is either unknown or damaged". I tried to re-download, but the links on this thread are not working for me. Do you have another link so I can try the download again?

I think I bricked my phone. :(

I attempted to use the Droid Razr Untility (1.8) following all the settings and pre-condition steps and now my phone will not boot. It shows something similar to the AP Fast Boot screen with the following:

The following is the output I got while using the utility's Fast Boot Restore (Option 1)

Yup... you were on Gingerbread. You cannot use 1.8+ with Gingerbread.

Thanks for the link.
I definitely had ICS not Gingerbread.

Unbricked, but the "package file is invalid" problem remains.
I tried all the fixes that I could find but no luck. Seems I have a dodgy phone. :(

Would it not be possible now for him/her to use 1.7 to fully upgrade to ics?.... then 1.8+ would be available to use for future "stuff"
