Can't Boot Into AP Fastboot, Recovery, BP Tools

Best Answer johnthehillbilly , 27 September 2013 - 05:06 AM

Is sounds like you are hitting the power button after selecting where you want to boot..... when you are in the menu, you use the volume down to highlight where you want to go..... then volume up to select it.....

I'm new here and need some help. I just got a new/used Razr M that I need to root so I can flash it to Page Plus. My problem is that when I go into the phones boot menu and choose either AP Fastboot or Recovery the phone still boots into "normal" mode. The phone is using system version 98.12.4 and Android version 4.1.1. I am a little new to this but have been able to root and flash another Razr M that I currently use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just tried and it still boots to the Motorola symbol and then to the activation screen.

John hit the button combo on the head.  Just make sure you're doing it quickly.  If you take too long, it will reboot itself.

Fixed!! Obviously I can't read. I'm embarrassed to say I was not using the up button to select. Remember reading is fundamental. Thank you guys for your replies.
