Excuse my crappy bionic for cheesecaking.

Mattlgroff's Notes:
  • CDT.bin is upgraded, so there is no going back to GB from this.
  • Android 4.04

    Code:
    ro.build.fingerprint == "RGSCA/XT910_MOTO_RGSCA/umts_spyder:4.0.4/6.7.2-180_SLC-31/1339768157:user/release-keys

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Install instructions are using ES File Manager and Rom Manager (free) from the Play Store download these and be rooted on 651.167.3331 for Rogers. Yes rogers for Canada, not that other carrier stuff lol.

open rom manager free, hit OK, now press the home button.
open es file explorer, press YES, press menu, open settings, scroll down to Path settings and under Root settings: Enable
Up to Root (path settings)
Root Explorer (root settings)
Mount File System (root settings)

"DOWNLOAD THE ICS UPDATE ZIP AND PLACE INTO YOUR PHONES /CACHE DIRECTORY (not /system/cache, but in the root of the phone)"

open ES FILE EXPLORER, locate your /cache directory and then select the Blur_Version.651.167.3331.XT910.Rogers.en.CA.zip
(now choose Open With ROM MANAGER)

phone will restart, and begin installation of the ICS leak (takes 10-15minutes)
phone restarts, boot animation begins, Android is upgrading :: Profit success!! Celebrate!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uploading to a mirror now... I have a public dropbox link for the moment PM me if you want it.

Screenshots(the wallpaper is stock with ICS, the apps were some installed from the tester):

I'm new to this whole thing, but I do follow instructions fairly well. I'm having trouble with the "/cache directory" I downloaded the file and placed it in my SD card since I could't find the /cache directory. I found the file in ES Explorer and opened it with ROM Manager. Once it rebooted it showed the Android logo and a loading bar, but the bar didn't even progress one bit. It then showed a yield/alert type of sign above the Android logo and my phone just restarted with no update whatsoever.

What am I doing wrong? :(

The update is gorgeous and very stable. I think it even makes the whole phone run smoother. Thanks for the leak!

Safestrap.

You must fastboot back to stock firmware. Safestrap ruins updates.

The /cache/ directory is on the root of the phone. ~/cache/.

I am having some issues. The file begins to load, the task bar gets to about 40%, then the unpack icon changes to an exclamation mark, the phone rebots into the gingerbread. I tried manually installing the file from CWM Recovery, but it isn't able to mount the sdcard directory. Can someone give me some assistance?

OK, so I tried to install through CWM recovery, and I am getting an actual error. It states:

E:unknown command [un_configure]
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "umts_spyder" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "umts_spyder"
E:Error in /sdcard/Blur_Version.651.167.3331.XT910.Rogers.en.CA.zip
(Status 7)

Does this help anyone?

You can't have any recovery other than the stock Moto android recovery installed. Uninstall cwm, bootstrap, safestrap, all of it. No other recoverys should be on your phone

When it was failing initially, it would tel me that the cwm recovery needed to be installed to get the package to install properly. I uninstalled everything, and even took it back to factory settings before uninstaling the cwm. It seems to be installing right now. I will let you know if I have an issue.

Thanks for your help tucstwo,

Adam
