Please help if you know how. I just bought a baby droid (LG thrive) for my daughter, she is not old enough for full access. Im looking for a hack or app to make calls and text strictly via net. No phone numbers. Thank you

There are free texting apps on the Android Market, and Skype can make phone calls over Wi-Fi. As can other VOIP apps on the market.
Please do not Personal Message me for help or troubleshooting. They will be ignored. Post in threads or start one in Q&A sections.

If you want text over wifi, koush has Desksms (market). It links google account to the device. I used it on my evo3d that was deactivated.
Worked well. Google talk is also nice for calls to other devices with it enabled.
