I was searching through my download history and the first file I downloaded was an xt925 file. I don't remember running it but could that have done permanent damage if I did?

So i searched for flashing the wrong firmware on a phone and found that the only way people have ever fixed it with any devices was to downgrade but haven't found a way I can do it...

The problem is that the 925 FXZ likely has higher security versions for the partitions than the current 926 FXZ. So the only way to fix it is wait until a new build is released for the 926 with a higher security version. I really hate locked devices.

I was wondering about linux, as well. My House of Moto has a Linux version so it should be fairly easy enough to try. I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope though as I do think the security on the gpt_main0 partition is the issue.

Well I'm going to download ubuntu while i'm at work and give it a shot when I get home if another direction doesn't pan out. I think the phone is still under warranty so going to keep my fingers crossed. If I wait till there is an update and warranty expires and an update doesn't come, then I'm really stuck with a bricked phone.

i was having the same issue but all it says in rsd lite is that it failed to flash system image...how do i fix that?

what do i do now? is there a place i can take the phone?

In fastboot, what does the battery status say? If it is low it won't flash properly. You made it to system before, but now are stopping early in the process, so that is my first hunch, if you are following the directions to a T and are using the Moto cable, etc.so ive tried the rsdlite and it comes up "failed flashing process. 1/20 flash sbl1 "sbl1.mbn" -> Phone return FAIL"

Worse yet, what is the filename of the FXZ you're flashing? And the exact model of phone you have?

the model is the droid razr hd xt926 and FXZ is VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml

the screen also comes up saying "No valid PIV block in SP for system; piv validation failed (system); fastboot reason: Boot Failure"

A bunch of people have been having problems with RSD and the system partition. And "current RSD" is like saying I have a "modern" car. The version number is at the top of the screen. You may have to use fastboot to flash it. Meaning you may want to run it through the House of Moto.

Um, "current version"???? Not even close. And that would be the issue. The "current version" is 6.1.6.

i tried flashing using house of moto and i get FULL_xt926.bat the system cannot find the path specified....what did i do wrong?
