I never did introduce myself, my names Aaron and I just purchased a used OG Razr on 5/30. I had been using the amazing Droid X for about a year and a half before I decided I needed 4g!

I loved the Dev community for the X when I first got it, but as newer devices were released many of them started to leave, and I'm sure they ended up here. I have always loved Motorola's products from 2way radios to the newest cell phones. They just have a quality about them that I cant find in other manufactures.

I was a crackberry user before my first Android device, and my girlfriend is an Iphone user, so I have experienced many of the different platforms. I find android to be my favorite and best. I love the ability to customize the phone, all the way from stock to totally custom.

On my Droid X I ran a few different custom ROM's as well as many other root apps. I just got done flashing .211 onto my phone using Matts 1.7 Utility, as well as rooting. It was a very easy process and now from here I think I'm going to try some ICS based ROM's. I love how many Dev's are still working with Moto phones even with the bootloader locked. They have found so many work arounds that make it a very fun device to modify.

I found this site shortly after getting my phone and trying to learn how to root. Its users are extremely helpful, and it has so many different resources at our disposal. Surely I have found a new home for all my Razr needs for sure. Thanks everyone!!

Welcome to the forum Aaron! I too switched from the Droid X. If you have any questions, the chat is always helpful, at least one of us on the Razr Rescue Squad is always on!

Grats on the new Razr!

Yes sir, I was in there the other night asking some questions and one of you guys (Razr Rescue Squad) were very helpful in getting me on the correct path. Its fun to go in and chat it up with other Razr owners. I really like this phone a lot, almost more then my Droid X.
