Sorry this may sound like I'm new but I'm not. I am having a heck of a time wiping the whole phone, I want framework, OS, recovery etc etc gone. Black screen and white lite typewipe and I just cant seem to do a complete removal. There s always something remaining and I've exhausted myself for days to find a non physical way to wipe all information or preinstalls , recovery etc etc. I've even sat down for 2 weeks having "conversations about negotiating" with my phones and they just won't negotiate. I'm thinking a batt pull is my best route but hate to lean from electron wipe into physically damaging them. I use xt912s large batts jb 4.1.2 / 2.2 / 4.3 rage or eclipse ROMs as 3.63 etc. Have rsdlite, sbf, sbk, adb (horrible with code and very ignorant when I use lil - nux . I've side loaded wrong zips, XML, etc etc to try and push a wipe but just no dice. Anyone know a way to wipe them spotless without physically relying on a crescent hammer? Tonight I deleted /system/etc/framework APks, cute cascade collapse but Matt's all in one confirmed I still had info remaining after reflashing. I've done many many many different bricking things but just can't seem to get these absolutely without some recovery coming back. Help is appreciated . Thanks

I guess the most relevant question is ..... why ? ... if you are successful in wiping ALL information from the phone, you will never be able to use it again....(even Matt's utility or RSDlite will not be able to rescue it)

I'm with John, what is your purpose? Are you just wanting to get to a factory state? Are you wanting to make a brick? A battery pull won't do much for you.

As my brethren have already stated why? and a battery pull is just a reboot so thats certainly not the answer to wiping

Seriously....:) we are just trying to establish a good reason for a complete 100% wipe...... once you attempt it (there is a couple ways but not 100% proven yet) there is absolutely NO recovering the phone afterwards....

Its stressful, using safe strap 3.63 with no viable stock sbf as it hijacks and recovers slot 1. I have sensitive information that cannot be left on the phone when turned in for reissuance by security. Hash changed the install setup differently to hijack rw disable for the new upgrades and was caught off guard before they were known issues. As of now it has killed my radio network leaving unknown carrier no phone or id. Sims are not recognized nor can I clear it. Best I've done is to utility the hell out of it at every reboot catch it before recovery in boot loader and boot by BT tools, short time frame but repeat it as many times to reroot , setup acct. And reinstall safe strap then boot recovery on new safe strap and try to illuminate all previous recovery files. Basically fight it with itself until I can see I'm in stock slot and its in slot 1 then delete delete delete as it tries to pull me back into slot 1 again and again. Every time I flash a new stock with rsd or Matt's it goes well then will boot into recovery ending with initial setup screen but no sim nor network. By squirrelin' with it before it hits recovery I can at least stop sim issues and see the files just not remove the whole thing apparently. Rm-rf the thing still no go.

Can you access the storages via PC or via the menus (menu/system settings/storage)....after a fresh run of the utility or RSDlite ?...... what you need to do is wipe or backup and wipe your internal storage.... no need to root or install safestrap for this....

The internal storage is where all info is stored....

Read here ....

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

it will walk you thru backup and format of storage....
