Greetings,

I am a complete idiot and put my phone in a bootloop when trying to remove recovery to upgrade to ICS. I was attempting to remove safestrap so I could upgrade to ICS, and accidentally deleted my logwrapper file while renaming it. Before I could correct it, the phone rebooted and I'm now stuck in a bootloop with no recovery. I have the rzr utility 1.6 and the correct files, but I cannot flash back to .181 due to a low (not sure how low) battery.

Is there any to charge the battery without paying for that redicuous 25$ usb cable or opening my phone? I have tried going into several differnt thread ideas for charging in recovery, but to no avail.I can only get the battery icon to show up with a question mark.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately you need to find a way to charge the battery. My suggestion is to just pay the $25 as "insurance" for an $800 device

While I accept that as sound device, they are out of stock and I need a working phone for work. I may just take it to verizon and see what they will do...

Well I got the device bootlooping and at least showing the bootup animation, if restarts the sound/animation right after it finishes. Is it by any chance charging at this point?

Actually all you have to do is reboot the device then let go of power button but keep holding the vol. down button and once it gets to ap fastboot mode, just press the power button or hold it idk. Then it should power off and just plug in your charger.

I tried this, it sat at the screen that showed the battery with a question mark in it overnight, no dice. Also let it sit 2 hours with the advice from the previous post... still says low battery in AP fastboot mode.

*Edit* As an update, I tried applying the official FW update through stock recovery, says that the apply_patch_check found my missing logwrapper file and wont let me apply the patch. I was hoping it would restore that file, but apparently missing it prevents me from restoring it...

*Second Edit* I noticed that the AP Fastboot says battery OK when I had it plugged into the AC adapter, and continued saying after I unplugged it. So I pluged it into the computer with "Battery ok" status on the screen, and was able to reflash .181 with the razr utility. Thanks for the help all, maybe this will help someone else if they accidentally fail and delete that file as well.

I can only go to the AP Fastboot menu. When I try to go into Recovery or do a normal powerup from the bootloader menu I get a boot failure message. Im thinking I might have corrupted the system. Been looking everywhere on how to fix this and cant find an answer. Can anyone help me?

I wasnt able to get root on the 211 leak so I decided to try the whole process over and after that I dont remember what I did wrong. It's been a week already.

Have you tried using the Unstuck 211 Tool yet?

Flash the .84 kernel using the tool
Reboot by using BP Tools in the Bootloader Menu
Root using Matt's 1.6 Utility
Flash the 211 kernel using the tool
Reboot

I was lije u till i found a post talking bout a simple factory cable. I took a old not in use usb cut in half leaving the usb end. Removed my back plate put the redcwire on the positive battery post and the black on the negative post then pluged the other end in the computer. Then booted to ap fastboot mode and it said ok. Then pluged in my phone usb as normal and went back to stock in rsd 5.6 using. 744 fastboot files. Then ota all the way to ics. And do not let exposed wire touch when connected to the phones battery post.

Second solution get a Motorola factory cable from hong kong on ebay for like 8.99 plus 1.50 shipping
