Can someone plzzzzz help! I want to root my xt907 but cant find a guaranteed way to accomplish this since latest update....... i bought the phone after update was release..... any info is greatly appreciated

If you go to the Development section for this phone, the top stickied post will be to root this phone. I got mine 3 days ago and rooted using that.

You won't be able to unlock the bootloader though so it seems most roms are off limits.

Not if your boot loader is locked. And most likely is it. Mines is locked. Not much we can do. The software that safestrap support is old and a down grade (4.0.1) from our current software 4.1.2. I tried it once (safestrap) and can't get it to work, which was cool cause I really didn't want to downgrade my system. But I do miss the custom features. sent using my fast Razr M (rooted)

Can't overclock. Only remove bloatware. I started to remove mines but I don't, I just disabled them hoping for an update or new exploit one day. sent using my fast Razr M (rooted)

You can flash stock based ROMs in Safestrap.

There is still a lot of development going on for the M. However mostly in Roms. I doubt there will ever be a new exploit for unlocking.

They are working on stuff for newer phones as far as SS and things.
