So I recently had to replace my RAZR MAXX due to one of my dogs deciding to use it as a chew toy. Gorilla glass is definitely not dog proof. Any way the replacement RAZR MAXX came got it all set up etc. note I have Asurion.
I seem to be having an issue with the microphone. My wife especially complains that she cannot hear me, or that it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. She works at home so she is usually calling from the house phone. This was not a problem prior to my receiving the refurbished replacement phone. I have had others mention the same issue.
Any suggestions on how to address this? I expect there is something wrong with the microphone...just not sure how to address it. The replacement phone has a 1 year warranty. Ay suggestions?

Call.asurion and tell them the phone is defective.

OK that's simple enough. I just figured they'd give me a hard time....sometimes the obvious is the way to go

Actually what is causing the problem is the Noise Cancelation module..

There's 2 possible fixes for it..

1. Put a tiny piece of tape over the mic in the back of the phone (I.e the noise cancelation mic)...

2. Update the radios on the phone. (Recommended)

I had this same issue until I restored the phone from the SBF which installs a clean version of the radio.img..
