Okay. When I got my replacement for my og Droid RAZR MAXX, I thought I had received a RAZR MAXX HD. Turns out what I have is just the RAZR HD. I'm not complaining though. Battery life seems to be better than my RAZR MAXX.

After 18 hours, I'm still at 77%. I'm running stock Eclipse ROM. I've received text messages, phone calls, played The Simpsons Tapped Out and posted and read forums via TapaTalk and I haven't had to charge it yet.

Awesome. I shudder to think what I'd get if I had a MAXX HD.

Anyone else getting battery life like this on just the RAZR HD?

Good afternoon.

I have a Razr Maxx HD, and at present have been charting a good 24 hours battery use, with the usual average use, and 17 hours with heavy use.  Admittedly, the device has been rooted, but is still running stock OS.  My biggest issue is keeping the memory from maxing out... as I have over 100 work related apps loaded.  NO GAMES.  No time for that distraction.

I've been using Go Launcher PRIME of late, but find it consumes a healthy amount of memory.  I've also received the new Aviate Launcher to try out, and find the learning curve a bit different (I'd gotten used to certain features of the other) but - in all honesty, I can see making the switch - as I REALLY do NOT "need" the screen swipes and flips that come with the data heavy GO products.  I've also tried nearly all of the other launchers (Nova, Launcher PRO, etc.) and find them equally as "heavy".

Thoughts?

I'm running nova and have never had an issue with it. Are you sure it's nova and not one of the other "100" apps you have installed? If you've tried all kinds of launchers, and you're getting the same issue, then that to me says it's another app.

Have you tried wiping the phone clean (after backing up the data with say Titanium Backup) and just installing the launcher and seeing how the performance is then? I would then start installing apps one by one to see if/when it gets sluggish for you.

Or you can freeze/disable the apps rather than uninstalling or wiping clean to see when the sluggishness goes away.

Another question is has it always been sluggish? What do you mean by sluggish?

Definitely having 100 apps loaded and depending on what type of apps they are, could cause sluggishness as well, especially if they load up by themselves.

What exactly are these apps? What are their purposes?  There are way too many variables with what you've described to be able to pin-point it down to the launcher itself.

Also, do you have all the launchers installed at the same time? Or is it more like one at a time, with the other uninstalled? I am a huge fan of nova, use the prime version, and I immediately install it, and uninstall the stock launcher. I've never noticed any issues with lag or excessive CPU usage or battery drain.
