I took an old usb cable cut it in half keep the usb end and spliced the red and black wire. Then i took my back plate off than hooked the red wire to the positive battery post and black wire to the negative post. The post are maked at the bottom of the phone. And when u plug in the usb cord it now acts as a factory cable and gives the phone power. Then hook up your phones usb as regular and use rsd lite 5.6 to govback to stock or use the droid razr utility to go back to stock

He only messed up the boot.img which means he still has a functional system.img he just needs to power off his phone then charge.

im having this exact same problem. my phone reboots straight to AP fastboot and i get the boot failure message like the OP along with the following errors....

Invalid CG OTV (CG: system): invalid SP data
Invalid cg version (CG: system)
Invalid CG OTV (CG: system)

i've tried the unstuck tool but it just says "waiting for device" and nothing happens. any other suggestions???

Invalid cg usually means you are trying to flash a fastboot file that isn't compatible with your phone. In other words, you probably have an XT910 and you're trying to fastboot a XT912 fastboot file.

I have the XT912. I honestly don't know how I screwed it up to start with (i think i was trying to uninstall safetrap and deleted something i shouldnt have) and i've been using the same utility i used to install the .211 upgrade. i also tried using the utility 1.6 to fastboot it back to .181 but no luck with that either. I tried the unstuck option on the 1.7 utility but it isnt recognizing my phone as being connected. im currently waiting for the battery to drain to try it that way but i had about 85% battery life before i messed it up so it may take awhile for it to drain before i can charge it again.
