When I connect to my Hotspot, my comp reads the Radio Type as 802.11b (my NIC is an Intel 802.11ac). But when I connect my HD to another AP, it connects using 802.11n. Why is the 802.11 standard different when using my Hotspot as opposed to Wifi? Isnt the standard defined by the type of Radio anyway, which in that case, my Hotspot should connect using N? Or could it be something to do with my Hotspot/laptop settings,or maybe even my ROM?
