I have been trying to find a good 4.3 based rom and i am having alot of issues. i started with slimbean stable verision 2 and no matter what i try as soon as it boots up i get constant error messages that the asop keyboard has force closed and i cant type anything. then if i try to reboot it hangs on the boot logo.

next i tried xenon stable and all was working well until i wasnt able to send or recieve picture messges. i tried rebooting and just like slim i am getting stuck on the boot logo. any ideas? i am wiping everything and doing a full format. i have tried flashing with and without mounting the system. i have tried not installing the gapps to see if that was causing it and nothing is working. back to nexesque till i can get it sorted

I had the same problem with slim bean but I'm very inexperienced with flashing roms. Maybe try probam I've been using that rom seems to be working so far.

Have you tried Team OSE Rom stable... It works really good. Signal and speed is good, MMS works. Has plenty of good init.d tweaks, several cpu governors and i/o schedulers to pick from.Im on Slim Bean stable 2 at the moment. Ive had no problems with either roms. I bounce back and fourth between the 2 but OSE has been the best for me so far. I download the rom and gapps, move them both to my external SD card, re-boot into recovery, do all the wipes plus wipe internal storage and format data. (If you do wipe internal storage and format data make sure what files and pics and so fourth you want are moved to your external SD card or you will lose them.) Then after I do all my wipes, I mount my external SD card then flash the rom then flash the gapps then I'll wipe cache and dalvik cache again then re-boot. This has been working the best for me when flashing 4.3 roms or any roms. Sometimes a previous rom you was running will leave stuff behind that will mess up the rom you flash, why Ive started wiping internal storage and formatting data. Hope this helps some.... :D

Theres a updated version of TWRP that works with the 4.3 roms better. Its TWRP 2.6.3.0. I would try updating your recovery first. That may help. Sent from my PC running Android ICS 4.0.4

I had this problem with the AOSP keyboard crashing also. I downloaded the Slimbean 4.3 selectable GAPPS and selected LatinIME to be installed. What do you know it worked!

I had the same issue. If you go into settings then more just below WiFi and that stuff. Then go to mobile networks then access points name and select Verizon internet then save that turn on airplane mode then turn it off and that fixed my issues with mms Sent from my XT926 using Tapatalk

I've been using Nitro's Eclipse 4.3 AOSP ROM and it works great. I've been running it for about 2 months now and I love it. The only issues I've encountered are choppy reception/disconnections with Google Hangouts video chatting and sometimes I lose 4G but can be restored by re-enabling LTE in network settings. Those could be 4.3 ROM issues and not unique to this ROM but I can't say because I've never installed another 4.3 ROM. Oh and MMS works wonderfully.

One thing to watch out for in 4.3 ROMs in general, and this does exist in Eclipse 4.3 ROM, is the menu button either doesn't show up or doesn't work in some apps. I've seen this occur with the Amazon App Store app and with the DI Radio app. I've since switched back to stock Eclipse where the issue doesn't exist. But, I'm also currently test driving the latest OTA (I have an unlocked boot loader so no issues with me going back to Eclipse when I'm done). All I can say is, they SEEM to have improved the radio. At work, 4g was non-existent in our building. Today, I'm getting 3 bars. I was lucky to get 1 or 2, so the 9.30.1 OTA seems to have improved the radio. But what will really drive whether I go back to Eclipse 4.1.2 or not is battery life. Under stock Eclipse, I can get about a day and a half if not two days on one charge. We'll see how long it lasts for me under stock. I have a feeling it won't be as good. Hopefully, I can flash the radios under Eclipse, but last time I tried that, it got a little wonky on me and I had to flash back to the original radios to stop the FCs that occurred with flashing the OTA radios over the older kernel base that Eclipse is based on.
