Just got a new Razr because the old one was having some sound issues (that were later resolved after i got the phone) anyways, whenever i use any of the rooting methods like Droid Utility on this new phone, it has a bunch of error's saying 'Permission Denied' and the utility won't go through saying Root Failed.

What's up with this? How do I fix it? I never had a problem with my other Droid with this.

What about checking to make sure you're in camera PTP mode, reinstalling drivers, using a different cord, different usb port?

Sent from my Razr Maxx, just because I wanted this title on tapatalk.

Did all that through the troubleshooting phase i went through. I have it in PTP mode, reinstalled drivers (removed from device manager, reinstalled drivers), used a different cord, and used an external USB adapter. lol i covered every basis. this is just really weird. i just keep seeing permissions denied when the root tries to run its course in matt's utiltiy. tried other utilities too same thing.

Exactly what I was thinking. Use older drivers. The RAZR has issues with latest drivers
