Power + volume up + volume down is to boot in to the bootloader when phone is off.

Power + volume down are both screenshot and power off (which I think is stupid).

Is this rom specific? Or is my phone messed up? To simulate a battery pull you push and hold all the hard keys that would be power and volume +/-
Snapshot is holding power and volume down, always has been.

Agree it is dumb but to power off/reboot you have to hold it for at least 10 seconds. The screenshot takes after 2 seconds. Of course it is annoying if you are doing a reboot and your phone takes a screen shot first.

Its actually just volume down and power to force the shut down, and yes screenshot is the same. Tbh screenshotting isn't really where it needs to be atm. It should immediately take like on iOS- if I'm taking a screenshot, often I don't have time to wait.

It's pretty immediate on my phone. Not sure how many seconds it takes but I can assure you it's less than 1.5 seconds. Who doesn't have that much time to take a screenshot?

Yeah but screen shot is hold down for 3 seconds... To force shutdown you have to hold for 10...it's pretty simple.

Team EOS added the ability to set a soft key to the native screenshot on the Xoom ICS. Would be cool if one of our awesome devs could figure that out and make it a long press on the menu or back button. (hint, hint)

I know in the /system/usr/keylayout directory, there are numerous .kl files. For the RAZR, the omap4-keypad.kl file contains how the keys are set up. For example, to set the search button to launch the camera on a long press, you can modify the following line:

key 217 SEARCH WAKE_DROPPED

Change the line to read:

key 217 CAMERA

After you save the file, reboot. Now, when you long press on the search button, it will launch the camera. At least, that's how it worked on the X2.

Now the question is, is there a key code name that corresponds to screen shot? If so, then it's just a matter of modify the file and rebooting your phone.

I meant that when I'm taking a screen shot it usually is something that is only on the screen for a very brief period. (Sorry, should have been clearer)
